Who We Are

Wevolve is run by Ville Tikka and Nuppu Gävert.

Ville works as Strategic Director & Futures Specialist and is specialized in the exploration of the forefront of socio-cultural and digital transformation and managing projects for new opportunity identification and innovation. 

In his career Ville (b. 1977) has created an interdisciplinary professional mixtape that includes six years with Nokia as Senior Futures Specialist - three years in New York and three in Helsinki -  exploring new trends and innovation opportunities globally in five continents and managing strategy and innovation projects with Nokia's global design, brand and business teams; versatile research in academia in University of Art and Design Helsinki, Helsinki University of Technology, and University of Turku; a dope marketing job at Vice Magazine to bring the youth media conglomerate to Finland; conceptual interaction design work; design exhibitions in the US, Europe and Asia; and a top nomination for INDEX, the largest design award in the world; and many other things.

Ville holds an MA in Psychology and Media Studies from University of Turku, has started a PhD in design research at Aalto University (previously University of Art and Design Helsinki) and has been regularly speaking at global and local conferences about innovation and trends.

Nuppu works as Creative Director & Socio-Cultural Researcher and is specialized in uncovering and analyzing game-changing socio-cultural shifts in values and behaviors, understanding the processes of social change, identifying new meanings and possibilities of emerging technologies, and bringing tailored qualitative methods and people-centered approach to branding, design and innovation.

Nuppu (b. 1981) has previously worked as a freelancer with New York-based agencies such as PSFK, Lovely Day and Anomaly and with Finnish companies including Miltton PR, 358, and EuroRSCG. While living in Finland she worked as planner creating media strategies at Happi Mindshare, as well as worked with governmental and non-governmental organizations such as The Finnish Funding for Technology and Innovation, National Consumer Research Center and University of Helsinki.

Nuppu holds an MA in Sociology and Cultural Studies from University of Helsinki.
